Save Our Sounds - The Zuni Tapes

Save Our Sounds is a project of the American Folklife Center, which strives to preserve and digitize some of the most endangered sound recordings in the Center’s collections, thus assuring that the valuable music, song and story on these recordings will no longer suffer from the slow deterioration that affects all analog media. As a result, these collections will be permanently available for researchers and musicologists, as well as avid fans of traditional music and story. Of particular interest is the Zuni Storytelling Collection.
