2011 JERRY GARCIA AWARD
YTP is an after-school program for Bay Area teens. In this internship students will be producing the Youth Theater Project 2014, learning stage production, acting, playmaking, improvisation and earn a small stipend!
The YTP culminates in a fully produced performance of original plays in late April under the guidance of experienced SFMT teachers, directors and designers.
In memory of Grateful Dead guitarist and founding Rex board member Jerry Garcia, this award is designed to honor and support individuals and groups that work to encourage creativity in young people.
