2025 REX FOUNDATION GRANT RECIPIENT
Founded in 2017, New Beginnings Therapeutic Riding Foundation exists to enrich lives through equine-assisted activities that foster confidence, physical strength, and emotional well-being. Its mission is to serve individuals of all ages and abilities, ranging from children as young as six to adults over 65, by offering purposeful, engaging experiences that promote healing and growth. All sessions are led by PATH International-certified instructors with specialized training in physical, emotional, and cognitive therapeutic support. Through weekly riding sessions, participants build essential life skills, strengthen their bodies, and discover a renewed sense of joy and accomplishment.
In addition to its weekly therapeutic programs, New Beginnings hosts special events for Front Liners, First Responders, and Veterans, offering them a safe space to release stress, anxiety, and emotional burdens. These experiences are made possible through the combined dedication of the Foundation’s gentle, intuitive horses, compassionate instructors, and committed volunteers. Time and again, New Beginnings has witnessed what can only be described as miracles: participants achieving milestones once thought unreachable, families celebrating breakthrough moments, and individuals rediscovering peace and purpose. At New Beginnings, every moment is a “Blue Ribbon” moment—proof of the extraordinary healing power found at the intersection of human resilience and equine connection.
