Precita Eyes Muralists Association, Inc., established in 1977, is a community-based, inner-city mural arts organization devoted to enriching and beautifying urban environments through community mural collaborations. Precita Eyes bring arts into the daily lives of people through a process that enables them to reflect their specific concerns, joys, and triumphs.
In memory of Grateful Dead guitarist and founding Rex board member Jerry Garcia, this award is designed to honor and support individuals and groups that work to encourage creativity in young people.
