2025 REX FOUNDATION GRANT RECIPIENT
Since 1971, the Kaiserman JCC has worked to advance and enrich life in Philadelphia. Its mission is to create fulfilling connections, enhance lives, and foster Jewish peoplehood through inspirational educational, cultural, and recreational programs. Its campus, which is located just west of Philadelphia, serves a diverse community through programs and activities that impact families, teens, and older adults.
Camp Kef at the Kaiserman JCC is committed to providing an excellent, well-rounded summer camp experience where all children have the opportunity to gain knowledge, skill, self esteem, Jewish pride, lasting friendships and unforgettable memories, in a safe, nurturing and fun environment. Powered by a dynamic staff and challenging programming for all ages, Camp Kef is the place to be — named “Kef,” which is Hebrew for “fun.”
Campers with special needs are welcome at Camp Kef as part of Kaiserman JCC’s Mildred Lasch Special Needs Inclusion Program. The goal of this program is to help foster an inclusive environment, where neurodiverse campers and campers with disabilities can enjoy the full benefits of everything Camp Kef has to offer. This program is tailored to support and facilitate social development, peer interaction, and independence through experiences. Campers in this program spend much of their day in their assigned bunks amongst their peers.
