2025 REX FOUNDATION GRANT RECIPIENT
The mission of the ArtsAVL (formerly Asheville Area Arts Council) is to keep the arts at the heart of the Asheville, NC area community. The Arts Council fulfills its mission by supporting arts professionals and businesses in Buncombe County through Connection, Advocacy, and Grants. As the designated nonprofit arts agency for Buncombe County, ArtsAVL’s purpose is to support local artists and arts organizations while ensuring that the arts are accessible for all. In addition, in the wake of Hurricane Helene ArtsAVL has been designated lead agency for arts relief and recovery efforts not only for Buncombe County but all of Western North Carolina.
