Grantee News:

‘A Tribute to the King of Zydeco’ Garners GRAMMY Nomination

Album cover A Tribute to the King of Zydeco with Clifton and Cleveland Chenier

Last year we were pleased to present the Ralph J. Gleason Award to Joel Savoy and Valcour Records in support of A Tribute to the King of Zydeco, featuring performances of Clifton Chenier’s music by artists including the Rolling Stones, Lucinda Williams, Taj Mahal, Steve Earle, and more.

We’re even more pleased (and proud) to share the news that the album, released to much acclaim earlier this year, has now been nominated for a GRAMMY Award in the Best Regional Roots Music Album category. Congratulations to everybody who made this happen!
