Cubensis Thanksgiving posters 2009 and 2023

A Beloved Thanksgiving Tradition Returns!

Back in 2009, Southern California’s own Cubensis launched what was to become a beloved annual holiday tradition – a post-Thanksgiving potluck feast, followed by music at The Mint in LA.

Cubensis, and their late founder Craig Marshall, being big Rex supporters, they also came up with the inspired idea of Rex Karaoke: Make a donation to Rex, and sing a Grateful Dead song with the band. This quickly became a beloved annual tradition, with some very creative interpretations and some much-appreciated donations to Rex! On hiatus during the pandemic, it all comes back this Sunday, November 26.  Get tickets

We’re very grateful to the band and the many Rex Karaoke participants over the years for their faithful support, and we look forward to a long continuation of the tradition!
