FAIR Girls is currently working to open a safe house for girls aged 17 to 22. While the transitional home would be in DC, we could accept girls from around the country. We have more than triple the number of girls in our program now, and housing is a critical need. We have had to sleep in our office, in our own apartments, and even in hotel lobbies with our girls in the past year, and it’s not sustainable. We are hopeful to open the house in the fall, pending funding.
I’d love to share a few links with you of videos from our recent May 8th gala. The evening was a great celebration of our girls’ accomplishments and also helped us raise $20K of the $80K we need to open our safe house!
