Bud & Budd, The Kind Buds, are pleased to announce they have joined the Rex Foundation Musical Caravan. The Kind Buds are joining with other like-minded performers who want to help further for generations to come what began 25 years ago at the first Rex Foundation benefit—the opportunity for kindred spirits to connect around the love of music and creativity, while contributing to the greater good.
The Kind Buds’ first Rex Foundation event will be on Saturday, October
23 when they perform at the Iron Horse Music Hall in Northampton, Mass. The 10 p.m. performance will also include live psychedelic video art, mixed in real-time while feeding off the music to create a one-of-a-kind visual experience by a.minor.
Bud & Budd, The Kind Buds take their audiences on a roller coaster of tension and release, trading fiery-sweet guitar licks with raucous, wide-open acoustic jams and stunning guitar interplay. Tight vocal harmonies compliment and complete their polished sound. Since the duo’s inception six years ago, The Kind Buds have played over 420 shows. In their short career, they have had featured performances at notable music festivals including The Gathering of the Vibes, Nateva, Camp Creek, StrangeCreek, Solarfest, Bear’s Picnic, and Mountain Jam. They have opened for such greats as The New Riders of the Purple Sage, Jefferson Starship, Big Brother and the Holding Company, Tom Constanten, and David LaFlemme of Its a Beautiful Day. They were also a part of the Unbroken Chain Symposium – The Legacy of the Grateful Dead, held at U-Mass in November 2007.
