New Old Time Chautauqua’s mission is to build community through laughter, entertainment and education. The goals are to present programs to diverse communities with a focus on under-served areas; to partner with local groups to organize and present community events and to promote interaction within communities.
The Rex Foundation award recognizes New Old Time Chautaugua’s “Jambalaya Vaudeville Tour” in New Orleans and Mississippi that provided free vaudeville shows and workshops for hurricane survivors and relief workers to help nourish and fortify the spirits of people who are dealing with incredible loss, confusion and change.
